– and for this very reason we have thrown ourselves into it when developing the EPILOGUE reference cable: following the huge success of our SC-ALBEDO and SC-STRATOS AF cables and numerous queries from purists, we tackled the limits of “technical and audiophile“ feasibility and created a product which, when tested at renowned hi-fi studios, was soundwise more convincing than cables for a multiple of its price. Based on the legendary SC-STRATOS we embedded four of its wires into a jacket so that these can be connected in crossover mode to reduce its capacitance. Each wire is 100 % shielded by a thick Cu braid and a semi-conductor. For improved conductivity all four wires were given a carbon conductor smoothing. The EPILOGUE guarantees – and this without an extended break-in – the success: an absolutely neutral reproduction. Plus it's even very musical. The EPILOGUE has been on the market since the end of 2002 and was able to convince shortly thereafter in quite a few review publications. It's the absolute reference cable for serious hi-fi dealers who put greater emphasis on a linear transmission instead of filling their window displays with “candy-colored power lines“. Among others, it also graces the Skyline Studios in Duesseldorf which are known in the whole world for high-class productions. We recommend it for connecting preamps and power amps, for linking CD and DVD players, turntables and, of course, for the professional studio technology. Typically, and owing to its low wire-to-wire capacitance of ca. 35 pF, it produces virtually no losses with max. lengths of 10 meters (32.8 in.). Due to the very sophisticated processing and the somewhat complicated wiring, the EPILOGUE is currently on offer only as a pre-made set. Deviating lengths are available at selected retailers. The connector is a modified HI-CM07-SE/ALU with teflon insulation that was given a special post-processing and equipped with a more complex shielding. It is commercially not available as a single item. To protect yourself against product piracy: please make sure prior to purchasing that it's an original cable made by us.
