The active optical HICON-HDMI 48G cable consists of a high-performance fiber optic construction in a Highflex jacket and is equipped with robust full metal connectors incl. microelectronic components.

It supports the latest UHD-2 transmission standards and is the ideal connection of components with HDMI 2.1 interfaces. The cable transmits your multimedia signal lossless even over longer distances and supports a bandwidth of up to 48 Gbit/s and a resolution of up to 10K. The high bandwidth enables higher color depths and frame rates, for example 8K image material in 4:4:4 color space is reproduced uncompressed at a color depth of 12-bit, compressed (DSC 1.2) it is 10K at 16-bit color depth.

Especially for 3D, virtual reality applications or for video games, higher frame rates and bandwidths play an increasingly important role. Via an improved audio return channel (eARC), object-based audio formats can now also be sent via the HDMI cable. For this purpose, the permissible bandwidth for the eARC has been increased from 1 Mbit/s to 37 Mbit/s.

The HDMI cable is used to connect your game console, receiver, DVD player or similar to your TV, video projector or monitor. The cable is signal-carrying in one direction (plug side "display" always connect to end device TV, beamer, monitor) and backward compatible, thus supports all previous (underlying) formats and standards.

With its compact cable diameter of just 4 mm, it can be laid almost anywhere conveniently and in a space-saving manner.
